I like how the first half of the trailer felt like a horror movie and the second half felt like a reawakening.

I've heard about the silent sisters years ago, it's heartbreaking. They deserved so much better than what they got. So happy they're getting their story told.

This story is not creepy or scary, this was sad and trauma wrapped up with racism, cruelty, medical racism and torture.

I read the book when I was a teen. Many ppl failed these girls. Their story still haunts me.

I'm a twin. We definitely communicate without speaking. Doesn't make us weird but outsiders think it's weird because they don't understand. We went through everything together so I can instantly tell when my twin is not okay or her mood has changed. We even have phantom pains (one being hurt in real life and the other feeling it for no reason at all).

First half feels like what we've been brainwashed to think of them as and the second half feels like the truth. Why am I crying watching a trailer

It’s important when there are a set of twins, that each twin has their own individual identity. It can be extremely unhealthy to leave a set of twins by themselves to spend a lot of time together as it can affect them mentally or even emotionally since they are attached to one another. I’m a twin myself. Growing up, I remembered being emotionally attached to my twin. The teachers noticed we would not talk to the other kids or play with them. We would only play with one another. This brought us great comfort. The teachers encouraged my mom to separate us into individual classrooms. Of course we were in hysterics. A day passed, eventually my twin sister adjusted to her new classroom and environment surrounding while I still yearned to be with her. I could see straight through her classroom. Quietly writing in her desk. Calm and collected. I didn’t understand in my 6 year old mind why she was okay while I felt a sense of deep sadness from being apart. As the second day wore on, I became distracted with classroom activities. By the third day, Something inside me awoke where I began to take notice of my ability to be social on my own and ability to learn on my own. Looking back, it was the best thing that the teachers did for my sister and I. I don’t remember much of my toddler years but I think my mom left us alone to be with one another for long periods of time instead of taking us to a daycare or park to interact with the other children. So watching this definitely hit home.

The true story of these women is a legitimate tragedy. The truth is more haunting than fiction 😢

Knowing the actual story of these two ladies, I'm intrigued to see if the movie studios are going to do the story justice.. Especially the ending..

I don’t understand the comments. What’s scary about two black girls being bullied to the point that they decide to go mute? The scar part is the way they were treated by society and the system, confined for over a decade only because they were misunderstood.

So this came out in September and this is my first time seeing this trailer.
Now I have to check it out because it’s peaked my interest.

Trailers like this are a PERFECT example of how good, even GREAT movies can end up flopping box office, due to audiences being given a false sense of what they were paying to see (many better examples than this) but the heavy horror vibes at the start is DEF gonna attract people who come for a horror/psych thriller and end up seeing a great movie but just not the movie tehy 'signed up for' so they have a bad experience and word spreads etc and here we are...

Watching this made me miss my twin something fierce. We’re grown adults with our own lives. Sometimes I miss when it was just us together

I hope they stay as close to the truth as possible. Cause their story is kind of freaky scary but lovingly good.

I was wondering how no one thought to make their story a movie before now considering how captivating it is. I hope the movie does them justice, it looks good in this trailer
