This travel video presents the city of Thessaloniki, the second-largest Greek city, located in Northern Greece in the geographical region of Macedonia.
The city has a long and rich history influenced by different civilizations including the Romans, Venetians and Ottoman Turks.
Thessaloniki was the second major city of the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire, after Constantinople ( Istanbul, Turkey ).
Today, Thessaloniki is a vibrant city that offers a wide range of activities and entertainments. Along with its numerous ancient sites and churches, the town is also interesting with its lively streets, shopping opportunities, delicious local cuisine and wonderful sea views.
Since 1988, Thessaloniki is a proud holder of 15 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Walls of Thessaloniki, churches, monasteries and Byzantine baths.

Perhaps one of the best videos about my hometown. Α clear video without too many unimportant details about shops and useless sightseeings that they don't belong in the city. The duration of the video is short, in which you can see all the important sightseeings of the city without wasting much time. Nice camera angles and comprehensive footages of my birth town.

Very amazing, i would love to see Athens again I was there in 78 visiting dad's parents I was 12 then, there are so many places I'd want to see you have brought it to my eyes again. I remember those small hut like stores then they were selling candy, cigar, magazines ext I see them in your video, some were photo huts now repurposed .loved seeing my father's church.
