One of the coolest sled designs I've seen to date - definitely going to build one of these, thank you!

There are jigs, and there are JIGS. This is an amazing tool, thanks for showing it to us.
Well done!

Thanks you saved me spending money on a thickness planer
we would not use often enough to justify purchasing one.
We adopted your idea slightly different but worked brilliantly for our specific task.

Portable Drill Guide! Awesome! I am getting that tool from Rockler. I thought the drill guide was overkill but after you showing how practical it's function is, I am impressed. The track for the gantry, the gantry and the router base is awesome! I am going to reference this post for my next router sled. The information you are sharing is GREAT! You are the man! Thank you!

I went down this path when I was going to be thicknessing slabs for guitar bodies. This is a REALLY good approach, easily scaleable. One warning though: make sure the planer bit you buy for milling is designed for the application, specifically RPM. 15 years ago there was a bit with 3 individual replaceable blades that was designed for drill press RPM ranges (discontinued now). There were a number of cases in the DIY luthier community of people using it with their 1/2" routers and the bit would fly apart under high RPM and cause injury. If in doubt, go for a smaller diameter bit designed for purpose and use more passes.

Love what you did here brother, excellent build.

Best router sled design I've seen, and I have been researching. Perfect for my small projects but I can scale up.

I made myself one but now that I've seen yours, I think I'm going to make one like yours. So much more efficient.. Excellent!

First time viewer of your channel and you have just solved problem that I have been pondering for awhile. I will have to make some mods to your plan, but I finally have a plan to work with. Thank you a bunch!!!

One of the coolest things about YouTube is that I have access to people that are smarter than me.

Great job. I appreciate how you don’t edit out your mistakes, but instead embrace them and show how you correct them. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!

I so enjoy your practical projects. Sure, the CNC videos are interesting, but I'll never have one (and I suspect most other woodworkers). So projects which I can relate to are the ones I like best. Your workmanship and explanations are tops.

Oh man, I was looking at routers today & then you drop this, which is exactly what I need for the project I have in mind. Better go back & get one & learn how to use it.
