My daughter turned 6 just after my son was born this summer. You will love the extra set of helping hands. Plus, she loves him and it’s sweet to see the bond they are forming already. 💜 I wouldn’t worry too much about the gap!

My oldest was 5.5 when my 3rd was born! It’s honestly the best. We actually planned our kids a little farther and it’s so nice — she’s 6 now and she’s the BEST “little mommy” and helper and it helps me out a TON!

I have an 11 year old and 7 month old & they absolutely love eachother. It was crazy doing the whole newborn thing over again after so many years, but my son loves his baby sister and it’s nice for me to have one child who is not that dependent on me anymore so I can focus on the baby. He’s also a good helper with the baby.

My two are 3.5 years apart and they are obssessed with eachother. It seems big when the baby is an infant but by 1 years old their relationship develops so wonderfully!

Helpful tip: caulk around the edges of the room so that the new floor looks seamless and doesn’t come up at the edges! (So excited for ur new baby to come, wishing you all the best!💞)

Little Babe is going to have a fabulous room to come home to! I think the crib is just beautiful! I have never seen one like it! It must make you feel so good to know that you are almost finished decorating. I also loved seeing Big Brother and Big Sister being such a part of helping you get the room together ! So adorable. I feel like I might be the only person nowadays who prefers carpet to hardwood floors ;-;

It just feels more cozy and homey to me! Maybe this is due in part to the fact that I grew up with carpet floors. It's definitely harder to clean, though.

My first 2 kids were close in age and my 3rd is 6 years apart and my 4th is 5 years apart. I loved it. It has been awesome to see how they interact, teach, and love their younger sibling no matter the age.

My boys are 4 years apart and I absolutely love it big brother is so loving and at an age were he understands baby needs more done for him so I just keep him just as involved like reading books and making bottles just keeping him involved when he wants to help 😍

I have 3 kiddos. Boy, girl, boy. My oldest boy was just 5 when baby brother arrived. My daughter was 2. And I can tell you- both of my boys have the best bond. That 5 year gap is so special!! And I even if my last would have been a girl, my daughter being 2 years older, would have been then best big sister to a little sister. I think your situation is ideal!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
