Pulse Pokémon are from Pokémon Reborn.

Actually, it seems the Vaporeon was Pulse 2.0, as normal Pulse Pokémon require a machine to exist, and, to say the least, look weird (Pulse Abra is kinda cool though: Mewtwo Armour). Pulse 2.0 is mentioned in a research document in late game Reborn, and does actually appear later on, although I’m not aware of anything past Gym 17 in chapter 19.

From what I know, Pulse 2.0 is just a little machine that is attached to a Pokémon to boost their power substantially, although from gameplay I think it just maxes out their EV’s and IV’s, and when I say Maxes out, I mean 252 EV’s in ALL Stats. As I haven’t played past the Rock Gym, I don’t know if there are Pulse 2.0 that change the Pokémon’s appearance and stats. The Pokémon is also free to hold an item, though the first time it’s encountered it’s on a Mega Garchomp, so yeah.

I like scovillan because it's one of the few pokemon I like with leech seed, protect, and subsitute. Make it hold leftovers with those moves and yeah. You could do the same with stuff like celesteela, comfey, ogerpon teal mask form, chesnaught, and abomasnow. For the fourth move just do whatever. But yeah there's a fun fact.

The guy that gives you an Ultra Ball if you give him a Great Ball is a reference to an NPC in Virbank City of Pokemon Black 2 & White 2 who will give you a Great Ball in exchange for a basic Poke Ball once every day, even using the same overworld sprite. The guy in Virbank City is also tucked away in a shady corner too, and greets you in a way that almost sounds like a back alley dealer. Overall, very cool reference, lmao.
