Sky News host Paul Murray says Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has four more years to "buggerise the economy and blame the federal government for it" after Greater Brisbane was plunged into a 72-hour lockdown.
"Just two weeks ago, this is what people in Queensland were being told about COVID - no more lockdowns in Brisbane," he said.
"After four new cases in the community today - seven cases in the entire city of Brisbane - well that joint is locked down for the next three days and tourism places are stuffed going into Easter.
Mr Murray pointed to Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk's comments she was "very worried" about the risk the UK strain of COVID-19 posed to the community.
"Try being a person who owns a business in Brisbane, try being a parent who is now going to have to work out what to do when it comes to child care, try being a person thousands of kilometres away in the North of Queensland who is now worried about their business," Mr Murray said.
