Man, this brought a tear to my eye. Great build and wonderful story. The love of a groom for His bride is so very powerful! And the love of your bride is just breathtaking. May His face shine on you both!

i love how school busses are basically just templates for anyone wanting to make any sort of recreational vehicle

That’s no only the nicest interior I’ve ever seen in a DIY, but the creativity in the layout blows my mind. It has no side pull outs YET if feels like it is wider than it is. Love it. This is my new template for when I finally do it. This guy(s) a perfectionist and skilled tradesman. Wishing them an amazing life and future !!

Your dad is amazing man. Huge props to him.

Also, my head can't wrap around the idea of weight and high speed movement against all of the stuff inside of this house. Which makes this far more amazing and magic-like for me.

As an owner of a self converted school bus, this is one of the sickest builds! Congrats on the build and the proposal!

I love the enthusiasm but plz remember you aren’t building a house or even a stationary structure. There are multiple reasons you don’t see Sheetrock or solid core wire in RVs or boats. The biggest being the constant movement of everything. Stranded wire with crimp connections is for safety. The tile may stand a chance with the kerdi backer but I see lots of cracked Sheetrock in your future. Your center of gravity would be a major concern as well. Good luck though, sorry for the negative remarks

This video had everything! A beautiful renovation, father-son bonding, brotherly love, and a proposal! Well worth the year of filming, eh?

Congrats to on both on your engagement.

mechanic here with 20+ yrs medium/heavy duty please tell me you are going to use grommets in the hole you fed the battery cables through!!! we need to make sure he sees this comment I would even use threaded compressible grommets but running battery cables through a metal hole that was probably not properly deburred is it guaranteed literal definition of a short short to ground
Spray foam is not a solution it's going to fail the only thing you can count on is when the short to ground happens you'll be caught off guard or you will not be around to witness the fire

Throughout the build I moved between envy and inspiration all while being truly impressed at your skill and humility. Whatever you didn't know you learned. You didn't pretend to know it all and you brought us along on the journey. Oh and getting just a lil misty at the end was unexpected. Yall seem like good people and I wish you well.

*the envy came about because it's my dream to have a rent-free home like this that I can take wherever the F I want. It's just me so I'd have a couple animals on board to keep me company.

I am a cynical 70 year old grumpy old man in a wheelchair but I have to say that this video made me teary eyed. The best of luck to you! You look like a very nice couple. Very impressive work on the bus.

I give that suspension 100 miles before it gives up. Seriously dude, you’ll be about 4 times the weight limit there, you NEED to get some reinforced suspension.
