Molins Factory Site, Haw Lane, Saunderton

My father worked here for nearly 25 years and I have very happy memories of this place. Very very sad to see it in this state, so I took this footage before it is gone forever....

So sad...I have a debt of gratitude to Molins...sent me around the world installing their equipment - truly wonderful place with some brilliant engineers. I'd love to save the MOLINS lettering on the wall as you enter the main site....if I remember, the carpark on the RHS was always called The Orchard, service engineers were not permitted to park in the main car park...MD when I was there was Sam Saw.

Served Molins all my working life as a castings manufacturer. Visited Saunderton many times as well as Deptford and Peterborough. Made many wonderful friends Mr Desmond would be so shocked to see this video

Thank you for posting this footage. My Dad, Jack Read, worked here for 35 years from the late 1950s. He would have been really interested but sad to see the old site. By now, no doubt, it has been developed for housing, but what a lovely setting to live in.

I worked at Molins Spares in Peterborough for 24 years, used to go to the Saunderton site to get technical information. It always seemed larger than life. I'm shocked to see this footage now, never thought it would finish up like this. But I have happy memories of both sites and the Deptford workers who moved to Peterborough.
