If you've been waiting for the perfect OLED monitor or TV, well, that might be coming very, very soon. Now this information is actually coming from FlatPanelsHD.com and I'm about to lose it because the OLED of my dreams might be just around the corner with a bat ready to hit me in the head. And that is actually coming from LG of all people. Now, if you've been following the channel, you'll know that I tend to prefer QteoLED due to its better color, but QteoLED does have its own pitfalls, such as the magenta tint it can have in a brighter room and some of the scratching that can happen on the monitor screen. So none of them are perfect, but that perfection is inching closer with these new 2025 OLEDs rumored to be coming out. Now, according to FlatPanelsHD.com, it looks like not only are we gonna be getting 83 inch QteoLED TVs, which is great, and 165 Hertz on the LG G5, and likely C5, I would guess TVs in 2025, but an even brighter, more efficient OLED could be right around the corner as they're apparently moving to a four stack OLED design rather than three stacks. Now you might think, hey, does that mean we're gonna get 20% higher brightness or something like that? Well, it appears as though it might have an exponential impact on the image in terms of the brightness and the longevity. I'm not entirely sure why that is the case, but there must be something about adding more stacks that massively improves the OLED efficiency overall as they're having to drive each stack less hard as apparently it's expected according to FlatPanels to reach a brightness of 3,700 nits. Now that's really important because the current TVs are apparently able to hit up to around 2,000 nits in ideal conditions.

ill never understand how people want "brighter" still... i finally joined the OLED world recenetly and got an ASUS pg32udcm and i have to lower the brightness so much or my eyes feel like they are burning lmao

LG C5 with 165hz+ and 25%+ brightness might be worth upgrading from my C2. Higher hz and higher brightness are the 2 things I want the most.

Hope the 45" OLED 4K Curved has the bend feature of the other LG screen, thus we can flat it if needed.

Multi Layer OLED also presents the possibility of incredibly upgraded HARDWARE (No added latency) BFI. By only activating 2 layers active at once, going at 50% brightness each equalling 1 Panel's Brightness. The other 2 Disabled. Then the next frame they swap. Those lg oled improvements don't sound that big. Was really hoping for 240hz. The brightness gain could be great tho the G4 is very bright, while their could be exponential brightness gains the benefit of higher brightness is a diminishing return at this point. Would rather an LG qdoled with 240hz

I get asus oled glossy pc monitor 27 inch, and this is the best pc monitor I ever had. i don't care if it's 1440p or 4k

165hz is just a buzz word and for the FOMO crowd more than anything tangible. Most people already don't play at 120hz, and the 2024 TVs have 144hz.
