I don’t get hurt or offended that people have wondered that about me. But it’s the way people, especially cis guys, approach it. They will rudely ask loudly in front of other males. And that’s where I sensed the danger for trans people with my own body. I realized I’m in danger too. I had trans friends before I knew the word. They were just my friends! And with the US need to label and sub categorize everything, I see pan applies to me. That clip of the guys looking at her hands feet and body brought back a familiar disgust homophobes give me. Deep disgust because the way men interrogate can quickly escalate to violence and murder. And the colorism aspect smfh. You definitely see the worst in people when you hear colonizer bs from all over the planet about how we’re the ultimate in terms of violence and physical ugliness. That part hurts. I can’t believe how ignorant these people are in 2024!!! I appreciate you Olu. ❤

This is soooo real. Thank you Olay. I observed this with an amazing special needs 6'2 sis female teacher. These haters full of prejudice and nonsensical FEAR and HATE need to get called out and dealt with!!!

I've seen this. I have a good friend - who incidentally happens to be both the darkest skinned and the most beautiful woman I have ever known and doesn't have anything about her that looks even slightly masculine - has had a lighter skinned black woman and a white woman both, in separate incidents, tell her that she looked like a man and I never understood why. I assumed it was jealousy - but this might be a contributing factor as well. It's sickening.
