Today, I am sharing with you nothing but a few seconds of some beautiful words written by Saint Augustine of Hippo (354-430 A.D.), author of Confessions, which indicate the place where real beauty resides—that is, in the soul. Saint Augustine’s quote gracefully reminds us that true beauty is not found in outward appearances, but in the growth of love within us. As I have been on my own journey of becoming inwardly beautiful, I have come to realize that the more I cultivate love—whether it is for others, for myself, or for the world around me—the more my soul radiates. Charity, in its purest form, is not just about giving to others, but it is also about nurturing kindness, compassion, and understanding within myself. It is through this process of growth in love that I feel a deeper beauty blossoming from within, one that transcends the surface and becomes the essence of who I am.

I didn't really understand this one, to be honest. Does love grow more because we are charitable, but charity can be deceiving one can do charity in hopes of people's praises, but would loving someone for the sake of praises be worth it?

i am confused or am I just overthinking
