While I have not had it out on the trail yet but have used it a number of times and it is a hammock setup which I purchased from a cottage company in NE PA. I am hoping my favorite 2021 gear choice, which will arrive on Monday is my new LoftTek Jacket. I must admit I am anxious regarding sizing but I will deal with that on Monday. I am also looking forward to the release of the Dragonwool Hoodie on 1/10/2021. Thanks for all of your great videos. God Bless

Still loving my original Aerie quilt. It was my first purchase close to 4/5 years ago. However, my favorite piece of gear for 3 years running... is my luminAid inflatable light. If you are like me and light, in the backcountry, is important then this product is a must. Super nice light throw for camp or tent. Solar/USB. Very bright to pleasing low. I use mine everywhere.

I have been rockin the Toaks Siphon Alcohol burner now for about 2 years. It, hands down, is the best alcohol burner on the market. A note on terms: "Stove" means a burner and pot stand combination. A burner without a means of pot support is just a burner. Love my Toaks burner. If you use methanol (drag racing fuel usually available from your local bulk supplier) for your alcohol stove/burner, it costs about 1/5 as much as denatured alcohol.
Thanks for sharing.

All you backpacking youtubers are really hawking that Be Free filter. I think Katadyn screwed the pooch on this by using a non-standard 42 mm cap system. If they would've went with a 38 mm cap system it would screw onto gatorade bottles and the like. Do you know any common plastic bottles the Katadyn filter will screw onto? I'm sorry, Sawyer for the win. The slower flow rate isn't really much of a hindrance, but being forced to use specialty water bags is.

Greetings from Portland, OR. I believe that the best piece of gear from 2020 would be my GRAYL Geopress purifier. I am fairly new to backpacking and started looking at ultralight gear. I just purchased the LoftTek jacket so I can't wait until it arrives. I don't have an ultralight backpack. I think that will be my next piece of gear that I save up for. Happy New Year looking forward to a better 2021 and getting outdoors!

My Chameleon hammock and mule tape hammock suspension have been awesome! The item have have used on every backpacking and camping trip for a couple of years is your inflatable pillow. I love it!

I love the inflatable pillow. I use it as a back support in my folding chair as well as a sleep pillow.

I'm still liking my Sawyer mini filter with platypus compatible soft bottle. There is something about the Smart water bottles that I love. Maybe because they are dirt cheap, come with water in them already, and last for years. Won't leave home without them. Looking forward to finally getting a top quilt from you guys. And am looking into the new backpack too. I enjoy my Osprey Aether 70. But, it is so heavy.

I wear your million dollar jacket nearly every single day. I love this jacket. I have the Patagonia Nanopuff Hoody also, which is what I'd say is probably the mass market item most similar to your jacket, but yours is just better. The main thing, for me, is the venting ability with the pit zips. I had waited years for someone to come out with a puffy with pit zips. I know a lot of folks are like, "Why do you want a puffy that vents? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?" But I live in Alaska and it's often a little too cold to hike just in a long sleeve shirt, or even a light fleece, but puffys are a little too warm. Your jacket is perfect for active hiking and is super easy to adjust the pit zips and front zip for perfect warmth/coolness ratio. For cooler conditions, it's also well sized to double up with another layering piece and I stay perfectly warm. Love that jacket.

I bought the mummy pod sleeping bag that can go over ther hammock. Took it out in October when the temp dropped to 34 degrees and slept great and was warm

Love the REI Flexlite chair! While I haven't had it on an overnight yet, my 61 year old hips have appreciated it even on my longer day hikes. Significantly less expensive than the Helinox even at regular price. I got mine during an REI 30% off sale, plus I cashed in credit card rewards points for an REI gift card- total out of pocket for the chair was about $4. 😉

#1 for me is my LofTek packable jacket #2 Satu pants soon to be number one is my guess. And #3 is Dragonwool Hoodie so if I’m actually wearing all three it’s my Number one outfit. I can’t say enough good things about Dragonwool and the Satu pants, they exceed every claim Outdoor Vitals has made about them.
One question will the Shadow lite backpack conform to most airline carry-on “dimensions”?

Have you tried the Mulibex - Capra super light camping chair? Has multiple seat and setup options. I have tried both the models you showed but never mixed and matched like that but the Capra is the strongest and most comfortable chair I’ve ever used!!

Cant wait to try the dragon wool products.
Hows the flow rate on the be free after a year or so of use? Still good or have you had to replace the filter portion yet?

I bought two, one for wife, one for me. These are by far our favorite jackets.

I’m eyeing the Shadowlight for the spring. I have a short toro 15”. I’m wondering if this will work for me? I really like the design.
