During his stint on the show, reality TV veteran Joey, 33, raised eyebrows amongst viewers with some of his antics, with many people suspecting he had been asked by bosses to do certain things.

This is embarrassing. He wasn’t a Love Island plant.

His publicist saw how poorly he’s came across to the public and they’ve gone with this bullshit excuse to TRY and save his image.

Let this be a lesson to the love island producers in the FUTURE we as viewers can smell when drama is manufactured and inauthentic - STOP bringing ex islanders/celebrities onto love island it’s ruining the authenticity of the show - they understand television

So he was a plant to cause drama, well he broke 3 girls hearts and threw his mate under the bus, he is a fool

Why is he explaining his role, love island has been successful in the past can’t see how his presence makes the show better, he can get a real job if he’s got so much experience

He had no business in the villa. I knew he was doing things on purpose. Disappointed in production.

So their feelings did not matter. Shows here it was all a game to him. Yes its a tv show but wow i miss when it was less scripted and fake. They also booted someone off the show (Sam) when he came someone who was there to be apart of the show... producers really messed up this year.

Not the press tour of him trying to redeem himself 😂 He was horrible to so many people in there and love island has only tarnished his career lol

It was awful television for LI UK, everything was forced. This is why LI USA dominated this year, most islanders were genuine

Let's me honest he made the show ! Without him they honestly wouldn't have had a show worth watching, it's just a shame that the producers havw to use people and make up a load of bollocks to get ratings

Joey is a professional TV personality. He never needed to win, and neither was he promised the win. It was merely another TV appearance, a job, where he's asked to be controversial. Controversy is what gets 'bums on seats' as they say in the industry and he delivered! Then he was paid a fixed agreed fee for his time. What he just said is exactly what he for paid to do!
