Cubase 10 Supports MPE, but it can be a bit confusing to interface it with VST Expression.

Let me walk you through the process.

Steinberg's Cubase manual says "Make sure that the MIDI channel is NOT set to Any." which was throwing me off. They need to fix that. Thanks for your help!

I'm not using an MPE controller, but I am attempting to get MIDI data from one Instrument to control another, both of which purportedly support MPE - the goal being to use polyphonic pitch bend MIDI from the first to the second. How is this done in Cubase? I've got the MIDI from the first instrument routed to the 2nd. And both plugin instruments are set to MPE On, and at a resolution of 48 steps. I believe I followed the instructions of the dev, and he just told me to check with an expert for Cubase.

If you record an MPE synth like Equator using all 16 Midi channels, can you record a different MPE synth or a second instance of the synth you’ve already recorded in another track, which I assume requires another (or is it the same?) 16 Midi channels? I can’t see how it would be possible with HW synths but maybe SW synths are okay???

Long time Cubase user but it looks very tedious to bother. This whole thing must be overhauled. Maybe MIDI 2.0, I don't know
