Cassandra Clare is definitely not an underrated author but it's interesting to me that she didn't seem to get that TikTok boost so many other authors have when her books have so much of what people are looking for and loving these days! And she does all those things so well too, like you mentioned, it seems so rare these days to find good romantic fantasy that isn't too tropey or with a good slowburn romance.. CC has been a master at it for years with her Shadowhunters series and I think she just keeps getting better and better!
Anyways, glad to see someone else love this series as much!

Now to the main topic: I was hoping you'd do a reading vlog for The Ragpicker King! 😍❤ I devoured this book and loved it even more than the first one. 🥰It was so well-crafted and now I want The Bone Conjurers asap.
I have to admit I wasn't a fan of Conor x Lin in Sword Catcher (mainly because of Conor), but this couple certainly grew on me. I'm more of a Kel x Ana shipper, though. The ending with these two left me reeling! When I think of that one gift she wanted to give Kel, I immediately start swooning again!
I also loved all the political elements as well as the magical ones. Lin's new power is going to be so interesting in book 3! And then also Conor and his 'royal blood'! Haha, I already want to reread the book because it was so good!
The foreshadowing before certain twists was also top notch, Cassie did such a good job.

Two things: CoC isn't actually a romantasy series; Cassie said it's high fantasy. And the pronunciation of Castellane is a bit different (the 'lane' part is pronounced like lane in the song 'Penny Lane'). 😉
I'm sad we likely have to wait so long for the next book because there's Cassie final Shadowhunter trilogy, which I'm dying to read, and then also her first YA romantasy duology. I foresee many rereads of the two books. 😅

I loved the plot Twist in the end because throughout the novel I thought several times that it doesn't make any sense that a specific character knows things and thought it might be a plot whole because I didn't draw the last line. When it then turned to not be a plot whole but a twist, I was screaming
