How to Configure a Linksys Router

Here is a quick look around the Cisco router interface as well as doing some configuration. Most routers are configured in a similar way so this should apply to more than the Linksys router. This can also with with other wireless routers such as TP-Link, D-Link, and Netgear.

Hello. I have a tp-link and i wanted to know how do I check to see who is leeching off my wireless apart from my home gadgets and how do I kick them out? I have a list with a couple ids but i dont know which are mine and which are from other people around the neiborhood. Can you show a vid on how to determine which is which and how to kick them out? I have a Cisco Linxsys wireless router, however when I lost
internet connection I needlessly reset my Linxsys by holding the button regaining
wireless connection but losing user name and hard-wired connection. 

I see where you can click on manual settings;
can I use that to regain my hard-wired connection also?

My main point is I have no hard-wire laptop connection now
and no device wireless cell phone connection because the password is not known.

Do you know how to get them back without losing internet
connection?

I need help because I am not very tech savvy with wifi stuff. I have a new desktop in my bedroom and a Xfinity Modem Router in the living room. The my Desktop PC isn't very good at receiving the wireless wifi signals from the Xfinity modem in the Living Room . I'm thinking of stopping by GoodWill and getting a old Linksys Router. Can I connect the Linksys Router to my Desktop PC with an ethernet cable then the Xfinity modem will send wireless WiFi to the Linksys Router and the Linksys Router will send wired Internet connection to my Desktop PC? Does this work, better ideas? other methods?
