Everything that people do to make a living should be illegal, shut down, not allowed.

We know now Victoria gold is finished. We see when things go wrong the character of people. I hope McConnell never works in the mining industry again. The natives hold responsibility too. They have skin in the game. They should have had their own experts monitoring the mine. Everyone is pointing at what were obvious mistakes. Where were they before the landslide?

As a yukoner, mining has done little to protect the environment, and most miners aren’t exactly pro-first nations. As a matter of fact, it was none too recently a couple of miners tried to use a decades old stake to search for gold where a neighbourhood now lives near Dawson City. They came, they saw, they left a bunch of cyanide.
