French Press: The stainless steel insulated Stanley french press is very impressive, and has zero plastic. Oxo brand french press is nice also, but has a plastic strip at the top I don't love.

Aeropress: Cool idea, but high heat is not good for plastic, but they have a plastic free one coming out next year.

Chemex: Made of glass, make sure to use non-chlorinated, unbleached filter papers

Pod Coffee Makers: Avoid these. Plastic parts, capsules made of aluminum & plastic. Use a stainless steel reusable pod if you insist on using this machine.

I use a stainless steel percolator from 1967. No plastic except the handle.

The Stanley french press has a lead base under the stainless steel.

We use the Presto electric stainless steel percolator. We also have stainless steel French press on occasion.

Hey hey, a Stanley sighting. I love Stanley. I have a bunch of the Admirals mugs. They are first rate. I use the Stanley metal pour over to make my coffee. Washable metal filter, no plastic and good for the environment.

I use an all stainless steel French press and I love it. Switched to this from my all plastic coffee machine a couple of months ago 😊

Ugh to Keurig. Five minute wait for a single sip of coffee. I've tried several french press(es?) but the Stanley is PHENOMENAL. Bear in mind, though, that the coffee will continue to brew. I sometimes pour it into a thermos.

Do you think stainless steel has something it leeches into our water? I ask because I noticed water tastes different after sitting in ss. I've also noticed a film get created on the top of the water after sitting in Ss. Would be interested in your thoughts

I have a French press and mine is glass but the top isn't plastic but rather it is bamboo. Nothing like a French press coffee. Smooth and simple
