Desolators are hard counter to the entire Yuri faction.

- Disrupt their slave mining operation
- Gatling tanks are too light armored to go through dense radiation, Lasher needs a little more concentrated damage
- Yuri clone/prime instantly die
- Radiation outranges Virus sometimes
- Desolators are immune to desolators, so Chaos Drone's can't do anything
- Magnetron useless against infantry
- Radiation kill Boomer missiles, and also reveal them if they get close

*However*
- Flying Discs can very much kill them from a safe spot
- Masterminds are immune to radiation
- Slave Miners if they chase down your desolators

So to effectively employ this strategy, I recommend you leave some desolators standing and have their rad-cannon ready, as well as accompany them with terror drones
