A New Era | Meet the Canyon Stitched CFR Trial Bike

Redefine what’s possible. Change the game. Those were the goals when we sat down together with Fabio Wibmer at the start of 2020 to discuss creating the next generation trials machine.

The Canyon Stitched CFR Trial is the result – a @fabiowibmer x Canyon collaboration that has produced a street trials bike unlike anything ever seen before. Oh, and yes- that is a carbon fibre frame!

Canyon‘s R&D team’s expertise in carbon engineering meant that the end goal was always to look beyond metal for the final frame and fork. But it would need to be unlike any carbon fibre we had used before – light and stiff yet bombproof enough to take the impacts from crashes and bails common to street trials. Adding a high strength material, from the aerospace industry, into the carbon layup created Canyon’s HIT (High Impact Technology) Composite. Extensively tested and proven to be tougher than aluminium bikes on bails and fails, the Stitched CFR Trial can take some serious hits.

I love the idea of an good trails bike but 2999€ for the bike? Is there an cheaper version in the future with not SQ lap stuff and with MT5 and 203 mm Matura Storm HC discs? This would be for the most riders out there an perfect trails bike.

I think the importance is bringing back Steel, it is mid cheap but it is easy to repair.
