Tearful Campbell after Lions loss: Didn't have team ready

Dan Campbell grew emotional after heartbreaking Detroit Lions loss in Divisional loss to Washington Commanders. He said he didn't have the team ready.

Only one person mentioned the 12 men on the field penalty in the comments. Wow!! Lions were only down by three when that happened. That penalty was the complete undoing of a team that was struggling both on offense and defense simply because they underestimated a rookie quarterback. How does a penalty like that happen in a game of this magnitude???

Been a Redskins fan my whole life, I'm 33 years old. I've never seen my team do anything like this in my life time. As happy as I am for Washington, I feel for the Lions. I've been on their side all season long wanting them to go the distance, that is until Washington beat Tampa to make it to this game. Tough loss for a great team, my heart goes out to yall.

The game turned on a dumb play call. Third and 1 near the red zone about to go ahead 14-3 and they empty the backfield to throw a pass when they were killing them on the ground. Goff gets rushed and fumbles and the game was never the same. Add to that the ridiculous trick play call when Williams throws an interception. It was 1st down, you're moving the ball, you don't need a trick play at that point. It's like the OC has to prove he is innovative. Not smart.

A few turnovers from Goff don’t equate to this defense not being able to stop Daniels at all.

Eagles fan here. Dan Campbell is the culture changer Detroit needed. The Lions will get to the Superbowl on his watch and Goff is a good QB. The window isnt closed. Use the heartbreak as motivation for next year.
