Lamley Unboxing: Let's grade the Hot Wheels 2025 C Case

I'm a little out of order, having already done the D Case Unboxing, but if I get a case, I'm gonna open it. And to make a little more enjoyable, let's give you some killer scenery.

The Case is C+, the scenery however is A+ for sure. Like the Mustang GTD, the Maserati Shamal and the Legends MX-5. Thanks for the scenic unboxing.

I agree, part of initial low grading was probably influenced by the out of order case unboxing. The revised rating seems fair given that we’re so used to seeing at least some cool new castings at every unboxing. 😎👍

I love the Mustang GTD, it has a metal flake paint job on it that you dont see often in Mainlines

the Mazda MX-5 Miata, Ford Mustang GTD, and the Subaru BRZ were in the B case in the 3 section floor bin found just before Christmas

You’re not wrong at all, and the treasire hunt is the mailed it in purple which you didn’t get either, the only car I like is the Riviera

Mustang and maserati is probably the best ones out the box.

I think a C or D rating is pretty unfair, given Lambert is opening the boxes out of order. C case would be a B in my books (not the greatest super or TH - which he didn't get). It had a few more highlights than D case, along with the new models, but also the Porsche 911, Oracle Red Bull, Jaguar MK1, the Camaro, and the Mercedes

The fish and chips is the best car this year so far. That car is amazing. D+ case… too many duplicates.

You don't include recolors that are new to the case in your case grading? I do, but I don't include carryovers from the previous case. I also don't include the Super in my grade, because I don't order full cases and Supers are one in a million, so it will virtually never impact the "quality" of a case.

I give this case a B+. For new castings, the Maserati Shamal and Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 car are fantastic and the Cupra e-Racer is pretty good. There are some great recolors in this case to mention. I love the deco on the Porsche 911 GT3 that ties back to last year's '71 911 multipack exclusive. The dark green of the Mercedes-Benz 500 E is beautiful. The maroon racing deco of the Jaguar Mk1 is a perfect fit for that era. I don't typically collect muscle, but I'll be sure to grab that 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 when I see it. Even the '70 Chevy Camaro RS has got me considering straying from my collecting genres.

On the lighter side of things, I always get a smirk when I see the Street Weiner. I know not many praise Batmobiles, but that brass color is something interesting. And I'm even considering picking up the fantasy Street Shrieker to try my hand at customizing into a prototype racer. So overall a pretty solid case.
