It’s not that the second coming is coming tomorrow or next year, that makes it so urgent that we do the work now. It’s that the world will soon end the freedom to worship like we’ve been used to, the window of the freedom to believe in the higher moral standards and a loving but also a just father in heaven is closing. Only persecution and suffering for those of us who dare to openly show our devotion to Jesus Christ is coming. Without a true personal knowledge, a true person testimony, a true diligent personal effort to gain them, we will not remain steadfast or even want to during the next era that is coming due to the wickedness of the world. As more demonic and demented secular tropes make their way into the restored church, it will be even harder to know the true Jesus and know his gospel, without doing our own work.

To anyone struggling with getting their own light and/or trying to rediscover the light they once had, in addition to humbly, sincerely, prayerfully reading the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, and striving to apply the principles therein, I strongly recommend reading Seeking the Spirit by Joseph McConkie and The Spirit of Revelation by David Bednar.

I never hear in Conference to go out and follow an online "influencer" ...ever!

You...the scriptures...the Holy Ghost....that's ALL that's needed ...you can add to that...but you can't live on the "add to that" and expect a conversion.
