This is really more of the peak of the top players tier list than an actual character tier list. Because regardless of skill level Kazuya is still broken along with Mythra/Phyrra. Meanwhile a reckless snake is just a dead Snake. But I'm happy that Snake, who was thought of as low tier, since brawl has come out in the world stage as the top tiers despite having been nerfed since then.

The crazy thing is, for the most part, everyone is still viable. The bottom tiers in Ultimate would be considered mid-tier at least in most other games.

It's just that some of the low tiers really struggle with some of the very high tiers.

But then again, everyone struggles with Steve and Sonic...

For the record, E tier in this game is like B tier in Smash 4. Aside from the top 4 tiers (mostly), this game is really well-balanced.

There's no such thing as a character tier list. We have player tier lists. And when players do better or worse we just pretend it's their characters being better or worse.

These characters haven't changed since Sora came out. It's the players who are changing.

I’m somewhat convinced that people really just don’t know how to use Kirby. I’m not saying Kirby’s top tier, but he definitely has more options than people give him credit for. Not enough people utilize copy abilities or range attacks, and when in close range, combo strings are fairly easy with just a couple simple reads.
