I also grew up on quadra. Met these dudes multiple times at the community center and theyre some of the coolest/nicest people to exist. Talked to ryan lots and after they moved away for tour etc would still see his mother robin on the ferry and she was amazing and would carry cds of theres for anyone who wanted one last time i saw her ahe gave me a touch up album.

Really appreciate this song! It really speaks to people taking upwards of 80-100+ hours worth of work/school weekly solely because they believe in their ability to be the best they can be in life. I found the dynamic between the soft guitar switching to heavy metal to be a perfect match to the story of the song. Almost like wondering after a hard day's work if it is all going to be worth it, and then ultimately deciding "yes" every morning before giving your all again until the day you die.
