Thanks so much for your lessons, some of these basic concepts had been eluding me for years. I think I finally understand the concept of the natural minor vs what I used to think. Based on the way I've seen it taught, I always thought that the natural minor was the equivalent of playing the scale but starting on the 6th degree, for example, using C major = A - B - C - D - E - F - G, but in actuality, it's taking the pattern/formula that is formed if you were to play the major scale starting on the 6th degree (A in this example) and then applying it to the Tonic of C. This would result in a scale of: C - D - Eb - F - G - Ab - Bb - C as the Natural minor of C?
