There is just no good way to learn of your child’s death, no matter the age of that child. I received a similar call, should have known something was wrong when I saw that I had missed 16 calls in an hour from three family members, when I was busy at work and my phone was off. My child died as the result of a hit and run. I actually call it most times a hit, pause, run as the hitter stopped long enough to remove my son’s bike out from under his car.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m sorry for every parent that suffers terribly from the loss of their child. 🙏🏻

I think it's crazy that they deliver the news without any counseling or support. I work at a mountain resort and a guest received news of her partner dying in an accident. They flew a grief counselor up with a helicopter and brought her to the valley with it. And it was free cause healthcare is free where I live.

Fentanyl is Satan. I'm so sorry for your loss. I am in recovery, from opiates, and I have been brought back, by narcan, a lot.... fentanyl changed the game, with no warning. I hope you have healing and acceptance quickly, but I know better than that. Please understand, though I don't know specifics, loss of a child is relentless pain, as I have lost children too...to my opioid addiction. My most sincere healing is being sent to anyone that has been victimized by drugs
