Sasuke may not be able to defeat neji at time of chunin exams but at the end of the part 1, he can easily since (curse mark)CM level 2 Sasuke with 3 tomoe Sharingan is more powerful than Neji. Just research about it, it's not just my opinion. It's a fact too!!

Neji like one of the most talented in Hyuga clan have Byakugan that is stronger than just tow tomoe Sharingan.

Actually eight trigrams: celestial rotation completely nullifies all ninjutsu of A level ( Said in the databook/Shown in the manga ), which Chidori is.

So Chidori like Rasengan is completely useless against Neji.

Might have been interesting to have Sasuke vs Neji & Gaara vs Naruto (interrupted & then the same). Then Gaara leaves & there is a finale between Naruto and Neji. In my opinion.

I think sasuke would edge possibly in the beginning but by the time he realizes none of his attacks would really get through neji he might get hit a couple times in the beginning but by the time he gets serious neji would win because sasuke stamina still was largely at play and neji can see more than sasuke but again if neji hits sasuke with the 64 palms and sasukes curse mark activates that’s the only time sasuke could possibly win

This encounter could go either way, Neji can beat all versions of Sasuke before the Chunin Exams Finals, but I think that Chunin Exams Finals Sasuke has a slightly better chance of winning, although... Neji can still win also... so their encounter will be very unpredictable in my opinion... 🤷🏻‍♂️☯️✌️
