I so wish I had seen this video before i purchased the solo 4. Your video sums it up perfectly. The audio quality honestly does not bother me much as I sincerely only use it for studying to listen to some music while concentrating. They do filter ambient sound pretty well. However, they are so uncomfortable. The top pad didn't other me, but there is so much pressure on the ears. I have had other on-ear headphones that do not hurt like these. I can only tolerate these for maybe ten minutes before I start fiddling or get a headache. I am saddened, because I typically avoid ANC headphone's due to my migraines. Every pair I have tried gives me a raging migraine due to the ANCm component and that is why I went with this one that lacks that feature. However, I am so disappointed. Will definitely be returning these. If anyone reads this, i''d love a recommendation for on-ear or over-ear headphones that lack ANC that are comfortable and sound decent without breaking the bank.

I got the Solo 4 as a gift from somebody and I can confirm all of this. It’s mostly when I’m playing games that the audio is horrible but the worst part is it is seriously uncomfortable on the ears! After just an hour or two I have to take them off because I feel like i’ll pass out if I don’t. They make you feel light headed and like your head is being squished.

I just got my solo 4s and I immediately noticed the bass is nowhere compared to my solo 3s. Almost non existent. I was mad.

I refurbished my Solo 3s and keep it moving. They still sound great, so I am not buying the Solo 4 for features I do not need.

these sound amazing to me and they are loud and very comfortable. Super clear for vocals... u def shouldn't buy these if your idea of sounding good is bass get skullcandy

the audio quality sucks, it sounds so muffled that $20 temu headphones sound way better, I prefer those over the beats

the problem with beats is the meterials used especially the plastic…I got Beats Studio 1, Solo 3 and Solo Pro and the 3 headphones broke on the SAME PART (HEAD BAND) ☠️

I bought the Beats Solo 4 on sale during Black Friday (I live in Canada where they were only $180 instead of 280) and immediately noticed a lack of bass on the Beats. That's correct: almost no bass on a pair of BEATS! If they weren't on sale, I wouldn't have bought em in the first place. The clarity is fine for me, but the lack of bass means most music has almost zero depth. And the sound is also tinny as he mentioned.

By the way, I also have the Sony XM4 and they sound infinitely better. The Sony headphones have better clarity, are more comfortable, and have MUCH better bass!

If you want decent bass in your headphones, go for literally anything else

Uncomfortable! I extended the metal part and used pliers to bend it. Better, but I’m going to keep adjusting it slowly.

So my current headphones have different EQ levels I can select depending on what im listening to amplify the experience. (The different preset EQ levels are Rock, vocal, bass, etc) is it possible your experience with the Solo 4 headphones was bad quality due to preset EQ levels?

I understand the need for objectivity in presenting the negative aspects of a product. Even though I'm not a fan of Beats, I believe criticism should not be done in an antagonistic manner. The entire video has a somewhat aggressive tone, which diminishes the credibility of the review. Courtesy and respect towards the audience and the product should be primary characteristics of any presentation.❤

The solo 4’s don’t even have anc… which is something almost every modern headphones has implemented in them and for the price it’s not even worth it

The sound quality isn't that bad. you just don't know how to use it. DAC AMP will fix that problems.
