In the mid-1980s I talked to a B-52 pilot that was in Vietnam. I asked him “when you were bombing did you know if you were hitting anything” he said to me “mostly all I did was bomb trees in the jungle”

One of my close close friends was in the 82nd Airborne and he was also involved in clandestine operations. He worked with special forces and called in air strikes with B-52's. He once told me that the B-52's laid down a trail of destruction that was awe inspiring. If the VC somehow managed to survive the blast then they would find them just laying there still alive but near death due to the shell shock. He was a hero in my book and I'm proud to call him my friend. RIP Chuck and to all the other Vietnam Vets I say thank you for your service.

Lost my brother in law that served in this war, he became so paranoid would nail windows shut, didn't trust no one. Makes me sad that I live two blocks away from an army helicopter that I pass by everyday

Those "fast movers" the F4 Phantom II is the bomb. Look at those USAF fighter pilots just blowing shit up. and the bombers as well. Insane shit. It is so bad ass. I appreciate the F-16, F-18, F-15, F-22 etc all bad ass. But the F4 Phantom saw real combat, and I love the design of the aircraft. The Phantom rules man. I am a big fan of the A-10 as well.

With all that boom, we still endured until the day of victory. My grandfather was a martyr, he sacrificed his life and gave us the independence we have today

From Australia. As a veteran, I can honestly say it was the politicians who lost that war, and betrayed their soldiers, sailors and airmen without any remorse.
