I worked in a teuck stop as a cashier weight master. They told me unless your in a lg car, SUV, VAN, PICK UP. you NEED to stay behind the truck in next lane. If your in a small compact car like most cars are now, stay behind the drivers which is where the truck and trailer join, move a lane over so there is somewhere for them to move if they get cut off. It can take up to 3 or 5 minutes to almost come to a stop. 18 wheelers don't stop on a dime

A few weeks ago, in my area, a stupid guy cut off a truck driver, made him lose control and crash into a house. The truck driver didnt make it. The idiotic, entitled driver lied about the whole thing. Thankfully the truck drivers dash cam exposed the truth

1st driver was stupid.
2nd driver should have accelerated, but you could wonder if the semi was not over the limit considering the overall speed of all trafic on the right lane.
3rd driver was stupid.
