Sir is the crack is pre initiated at the end of wedge or i will appear during test..how we insert crack physically before test.

I test CTOD specimens according to ISO 12135 and 15653 and BS 8571. With those tests you bend or pull the sample at a certain uniform testing rate. What is the use of doing it cyclic with each time applaying more force as in your video? Also, how big is your clipgaugeopening at the beginning?

Sir I am planning for doing this testing for a ductile material, what should I do after that, I have seen a couple of journals but they have written a lot of equations
It would be good if you can tell the pre and post requisite for it ....
