Couple years ago we needed a defender and a goalkeeper.
We bought Alisson and Van Dijk.
Great Success.
Now we need goalscorers. Stands to reason we can do the same again.

Patrick Bamford might be a good fit. He's having his best season for Leeds which, considering they just got promoted and he's never played in the Prem - on top of no fans in the stadiums - is really impressive (14 goals, 7 assists right now). He's a center forward, he already plays for a team with a similar work ethic and energy to Liverpool, and surrounded by the quality of players we have I think he could do really well. Plus, he wouldn't cost a fortune (given that Covid has probably drained the bank enough to make a player like Mbappe or Kane unaffordable).

We have to trim down the squad. Get rid off the bench warmers ie; shaqiri, origi, minamino & milner. We should upgrade our creative play with attacking midfielders plus one clinical finishers. Job done this summer

Short answer yes. All great sides change things up before they go stale. We are in danger of going stale as this season is showing especially our finishing.

Yes, Liverpool definitely need a goalscorer. There are a few good options out there. Andre Silva, Odsonne Edouard, Donyell Malen, Memphis Depay, Youseff En-Nesri, Lautaro Martinez, Dusan Vlahovic, Patson Daka, hell I'd even take Tammy Abraham for circa 30m. We need a striker who consistently scores 15-20 per season and who can take advantage of all of the crosses that come from Trent and Robbo as well as help defend corners. I don't think any of our current options are the answer to our lack of a quality archetypal number 9.

Excellent as always. My position is always this: if a proven goalscorer like Salah or Mané believe they can take the shot on and score, they should go for it.

The fact that Klopp could incorporate Lewandoski who is arguably one of the best CF in the past decade in his systems tells me that he can and should have a no.9 that does the same for Liverpool. So, if Haaland can be it, lets do the transfer.

Salah is a wide forward, but he is not a true number 9, he misses to many chances. I think Emiliano Buendia would be perfect for us. He’s a goal scorer and makes loads of assists. But I’ve got a feeling that FSG will buy a player from the bargain basement.😭😢

A few decades ago, we'd have looked for an experienced player such as Riedle or Litmanen (or McAllister in midfield). Other clubs continue to do this (United brought in Teddy Sheringham back then and Cavani more recently, who is doing a job for them now). Ì'd be looking at players like Aguerro or Edin Dzeko to bolster the goalscoring. But our inability to hold on to a lead until the final whistle is just as concerning.
