I used Choose AI target instead of Smart Command and it seems to be easier. Ctrl click workers, hit stop, then hold the Idle workers button and click around the screen. Less wait time, easy to execute from the first time, and no need to click on the town hall.

So many functions can be done with ChooseTarget command. Your next guide should about binding 3+ hotkeys for one command through hotkeys txt-file, so in result you can have range of rapidfire'd commands: injections, move-command (for worker split), abilities (tumors, infesteds, etc).

For example, I have bound all many abilities to Q, which also a rapidfire command. So I can cast tumors, infesteds, hatchery placement (instanstly as there is a place, good when probe trying to block), corruption, etc etc. And move-command may be used with it too.

I think the rapid fire is the most underused hotkey setting right now, so much could be done with it... snipe, seeker missles and mules are what I use it for and it is so damn fast.

Warning: I'm a total noob doofus so this may be idiotic.

With music (piano is a good example), two notes played as a b a b a b is called a trill and a wavy line above the note is the special musical notation for it.  The musically experienced folks can already do this fairly well.  It is particularly easy with the index and middle finger.

So, if you don't have a keyboard that does the dfdfdfdf type sequence, you can set up two keys comfortable to trill with and then move the mouse around as you trill and get roughly the same effect.  Here, instead of the keyboard doing auto repeat, your fingers are doing it.  This also avoids the "this is a macro" and "are macros legal" debate since you are obviously getting one letter (command) per key stroke.

I'm trying to incorporate this into the core.  I'm thinking I may leave my home keys for this operation since it is not done that often and moving to a new set of two keys can be done fairly fast with a bit of practice (again... go practice your Mozart and SC2 is a trivial subset :-)

How come my keyboard doesn't alternate between my idle worker key and my smart command? If your keyboard alternates between 2 hotkeys, wouldnt it make rapid snipe slower because your keyboard keeps pressing schift over and over

Personally, i dont think this should be allowed.
Starcraft is supposed to be hard and everybody should be playing on the same terms.

this method has been around for years and its well known to be an awful method
