Hugh Grant was such a great casting choice. I've been watching him in romantic comedies all my life. When he answers the door, it lures you into a false sense of security. He seems like such a charming guy, as he always is. But then, of course, the film continues...

Just saw the film. Brilliant! He really went in a new direction as an actor from what I'm used from my childhood growing up with him!

I think that’s kinda the backbone of the story too. This guys trying to prove this point, locks them in his house and they’re still pretty nice to him. They’re terrified, he’s constantly lying to them, and trying to get them to denounce what they know. But they still treat him nicely, until they realize they have to fight to get out this. So good!

I was never a big fan of Hugh Grant. I always viewed him as an actor who only did corny chick flicks... This movie Heretic absolutely blew my socks off and I am now a huge fan of him. Absolutely amazing work. The monopoly scene had me absolutely sucked into the movie. The facts he stated clicked with me with religion as a Catholic bloke who has struggled with his faith it just shook me.

When sister Barnes and sister Paxton entered the house they were scanning the room and I think one of them found it strange that there were no family photos, no photos of Mr Reed with his "wife"

Just watched the movie and as a member of the LDS faith it was certainly thought provoking.

I watched the movie and it was very good, but you really have to listen to every word. I’m gonna have to go back and watch it again because there’s a lot of hidden messages and it just happened so quick. And the ending is really up in the air could be anything it’s up to us as viewers to save what the ending might be

Josh Hartnett played a non-typecast role as well with Trap, both actors did a great job.

I was so amazed with way he put that character out I couldn’t focus on anything else with the movie but his acting .

Hugh Grant was profoundly better as a villain. It is so much more believable than him as romantic interest

For a while there, I was just used to him being a comedian in movies, but then he did more drama, and some of those characters he played were good 👍

The very first film that I ever saw Hugh Grant in was the 1995 film The Englishman Who Went Up A Hill And Came Down A Mountain. It was released right around the time Grant went through that embarrassing little dalliance that I won't mention here, lol. Hugh's just DIVINE! No pun intended.

So what you're saying is, if you look for it, love, actually, is all around.

About a Boy is his top Rom-com. This will be his signature psychological thriller dish 🎉

His performance was sublime. Terrific film, albeit with some odd moments which didn't add up.
