The Massive battle between me and the chickens VS the rats in the chicken coop!

I went on a massive rat hunt inside the chicken coop, I first had to declutter the inside of the coop and put barricades up blocking all exits and entrances so the rats couldn't escape. I also set up mouse traps to drop in the rats nest. After dropping the traps the rats started flooding out. One by one and sometimes by the tens they would come out and it took me about 30 minutes to get all the rats. But I finally got all of them with the chickens help, but the rat battle is not over yet, SUBSCRIBE so that BIG Feathers Farm can take the victory over the next rat battle.

A few cats. Houston has a rat problem but I don't since adopting neutering strays, and from the veternarian, cats whose ower passed. There are free neuter services here. The rats can be seen traveling the power lines. 3 older cats, no rats. The cats live outside and have a small covered shelter. They keep the rats out of my garden too. No more chewed veg. 🌱

My chickens started their mouse hunting journey and took down who even knows they live in the roof of the coop the shed floor and live off of the bedding I have for my chickens.💀💀💀

There’s always one rat still alive, the alpha rat. Their big and smart asf, they have seen every trap made and will sacrifice their own kids to eat any food he finds suspicious to see if it’s poisoned.

Just a lil tip, get yourself some “pure peppermint oil “ pure! And mix two tea spoons too a average size squirt bottle, go around the coops as well as inside the coops rodents do not like the smell of it and should deter them from the area, also if you have a Hudson sprayer you can make a bigger batch, plus it’s pure and natural so won’t harm the chickens or the cats.

Rats can squeeze thru a pencil sized hole: look at your chicken wire! Get some barn cats, watch what feed you're leaving out, esp at night. PS rars can climb plywood walls, if there's a teeney tiny grip anywhere, plus they jump too.
