In 1995, I ran into Salt at the Commack theater with her kid and bodyguard watching the movie Casper. I was there with my older cousin as I was only 9 years old. We were fans so of course after the movie in the parking lot I ran up to her and blushingly managed to stutter out “Salt can I have your autograph?” In the most classy raspy voice she said “sure sweetheart what do you want me to sign”. I literally had to run back to the theater to get a napkin, because I was 9 and of course didn’t think that far ahead. I came back to her in the parking lot and guess what? We didn’t have a pen. I swear with every delay, I died a little. But Salt being the gracious woman she is, God bless her, she signed my movie theater napkin with her eye liner! She wrote “Thanks for your support, Cutie” -Love Salt. PEOPLE…I’m a grown man with my own child now, and I still have not recovered from the heart palpations. I mean she said I was cute y’all, it was a wrap for my 9yr old ego. 😂
