Hey Everyone, Frost here. Welcome back to a new classic wow video. Lately, the channel has grown significantly and I could'nt help notice the amount of people that never played vanilla wow, and yet they're interested in trying it out, wondering what this movement regarding classic servers is all about. Today, our installment is dedicated to new players, returning players from the the original iteration of the game or even to veteran vanilla advocates with hope in mind to touch on some the nostalgic feelings and maybe provide a bit of entertainment. There's no doubt in my mind that classic wow will attract large numbers of players, here are 15 things to expect if you never played Vanilla world of worcraft.

These are 15 things to expect in classic wow. Usually the videos on this channel are more suited for players that already play world of worcraft. Today I wanted to try something different for the upcoming new players. Normally, my other videos get like 1000 likes in the first 48 hours. If this clip manages to get 3000 likes in the first week... I'm going to make a part 2 followup. Lets be honest...WoW classic was an mmorpg master piece...Ive never played a game where 8-10h passed by like NOTHING.
It never gets bored. I only wish I had the same amount of time like 15 years ago.

Vanilla WoW gave all the ingredients for players to make the world their own, not just interact with it. It felt inhabited, dangerous, and you never knew who or what you might come across in your adventures. Classes aren't just different ways to do the same thing. You legitimately feel jealous of every class in some aspect. Each race has its following and unique advantages. The zones have so much heart. Stranglethorn Vale is my favorite zone of all time.

I thought about what you said about travel time, and this is one of the biggest pros about Vanilla. Each trip out into the world felt like an adventure. Each dungeon run felt like effort. It's going to be a helluva good time.

I was a male Night Elf Warrior when I first started WoW back in 2006-07. After I reached Darkshore from Darnassus on a ship, I saw a gnome for the first time and amazed with the height difference between the races (I came from generic asian MMORPG where all the characters are generic as hell). As my brother and I were running in the dense forest outside Auberdine, we saw something moving quickly in the jungle. We decided its dangerous af to explore the jungle and proceed to run to the main road instead.


I was running in front of my brother when his party frame suddenly turns grey. My brother was dead. I turned around and see him dead limp corpse behind me. "Becareful, something killed me" he wrote. As I turned my camera around. There he was, the culprit. An Undead toon standing 10 metres away from me in the middle of the road. He has a skull on his frame. He stood there, making mocking gestures and kek-ing me which I have no idea what it meant at that time. We were then stalked and hunted to hell for an hour there by this abomination. Good time.

#1 not all classes had the same toolset, such as self-heal or silence. Classes were truly unique in what they could do.

The current version of WoW is drasticly different from the original vision. BFA is a glorified hand-holding slotmachine throwing meaningless loot at you at a constant rate and filling a empty world with repetative quests that don't have a soul and restricting your freedom with time-gated content. It is easy, it is cheap.



Vanilla WoW was a true MMORPG. You were forced into social interactions. Creating new moments. Meeting new people. Building a reputation and exploring the world together. I am a solo player by nature but WoW forced me into these interactions and it added so much more to the experience of the game. Items had meaning and value because it was a hard time in Azeroth. You really felt invested and everything you did and gained added to the strength of your character. These days you get 3 upgrades a day and they mean nothing.



I know Classic speaks to our desire to re-recapture the first moment in Azeroth. For most of us that will never be possible again. Still I believe the Classic game has more then just the satisfaction of our nostalgic needs. I believe Classic will show developers all around the world that gamers want a authentic experience and not a shallow mobile phone lootbox mini transaction machine.

Back in my day after a raid wipe we would RP walk up hill both ways in snow at night across 3 zones backwards just to regroup and try that raid again .

the faction lock only exists in vanilla on PvP servers, RP and PvE servers do not have this lockout and you can make characters on both factions.

WoW classic was so much more a co-operative game than a competitive one. If you saw someone being ganked as you levelled, you helped them. You didn't laugh and say to yourself, "What a noob! That is another person I will beat to 60!"

Great video man, This is definitely something that is a huge aspect of WoW that has been lost due to the way that realms connect now. There is less of an effect when your name truly matters

Thank you for the video! It made me so emotional. I stopped playing more than five years ago, but still had dreams about being in Azeroth every now and then. It was a strong experience. As a casual I can especially sign the points #1 socializing, #4 meaning of gold, #5 traveling around and exploring the world, #8 rarity of items, #11 inventory management, #14 travel time and #15 leveling pace. I just loved the rich world with professions, guild chat, irl people and even couples forming over time. Loosing the sense of time, playing until 5 am and having to wake up to go to work at 7 am just to login straight after work to go on exploring. I'm not expecting the same feeling as a newbie, but to see the same places again as they were before Cataclysm. Nostalgy. I'm planning to return, and tried to find information about practical things like system requirements, fees, servers, mods, my old guild etc. I really hope the release would hit during summer holidays as I'm one of those with other obligations in life nowadays.
