'You Say Run' Goes With Everything: Puss vs Death (Full Fight) | Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

No one has done this yet and it is a missed opportunity. But I'm here to fit that hole. This was tough to do audio balance and canceling but it came out really, really good in my opinion. After I watched the movie I wanted to put his with the Sonic Frontiers music but everyone did that, so it's surprising no one did You Say Run. I love this movie and I do hope you watch the movie too.

What I love is that when Puss' life is flashing before his eyes, you see all the amazing memories and friends he just made because for once he wasn't alone. He says there's "just one life" flashing before his eyes. But it wasn't, he remembered his adoptive mother taking him in and giving him his boots.

Puss' lives were a rocky road, and only now is he living a life worth while, which he flashed back to before fighting Death. But one thing was exactly the same as it always has been. Puss loves his adoptive mother Imelda and she is truly special to him. I love that detail

With this song, when he dropped the wish it made me tear up because the bravest thing you can do is face your mortality instead of trying to find an easy way out of your problems. Yes he has to sit with his past mistakes but it's what made who he is, taught him the only lesson that life can teach "don't waste it".

In a way, Puss in Boots represents the users of One For All not only facing off an unbeatable foe but because Izuku is the 9th wielder of the quirk with Puss in Boots being on his 9th life. Honestly, I just love that concept! For the bad guy, I think it should be Big Jack since he wants to take all the magic for himself, like how All For One can take any quirk for himself. It's crazy how close the plot is.

2:28 is, in my opinion, the moment Death started having second thoughts. He knows Puss in Boots, the Legend, only using his sword. Here, he sees Puss using the Gatito Blade, given by someone after he actually asked for help, and he used it to fend off the attacks the rest of the fight. It was a sign he’s not the lone wolf legend anymore, and therefore Death has no incentive of satisfaction to make him kill Puss anymore. It’s probably how Puss got the upper hand with that kick where Death previously blocked it in the bar. Love these details, this movie’s great.

Honestly I love the ending fight scene in Puss and Boots, his fighting style finally complete as he fights for his life with his friends.
After all, historically a Raipier and a parrying dagger was the most prefered fighting style in duels of honor among the swordsmen

I have to say I absolutely LOVE Death in this movie. The movie as a whole was way better than it has any right to be, but Death as a character is incredible. The voice acting is impeccable, his design is striking, his motives and personality are great. Seriously hats off to the team that made this. By all accounts they could have shat out something completely inane and been done with it, thats what everyone was expecting anyway, but they actually made a good movie thats a sequel to a spin off movie from a franchise which has long since been past its prime. Thats something that deserves praise.
