ive been using this epoxy primer for 10 years. Friggin love it. Spray it with 1.3 tip via tekna prolite, lays flat as glass every time (no reducer needed). Against bare steel, the adhesion is extremely strong, to remove it you must grind it off. Very awesome product for the price paid

I've been using this over the past few weeks, and from what I can tell, it's a good product. Time will tell as to whether it lasts.

Would you also sand this with 400 for a solid base paint or from all the prior work its ok to just shoot the base after?

New to using epoxy primer, unsure what to use to clean the paint gun? I didn't see anything on either can regarding clean up. And I don't want to end up ruining a new paint gun. I have the Eastwood Contour Pro gun.

He said he sprayed the Epoxy Primer with the 1:3 tip. The product info says use 1:4-1:8. So what is it ? Also how many microns was the strainer ? Nothing in Eastwoods info about it. I found info elsewhere that said 80 microns for solvent based epoxy primer. Only ones I see on the site is 190 & 226

The TDS says you can reduce 20% with a quality urethane primer (when would you do this and is 20% the max it should be reduced). Is it better to reduce when using as a sealer before base coat or shoot it as you did here full strength? Will reducing give less chance of orange peel?

There is a base of black primer already ? You can spray on new bare metal..correct??

Is there information on a “Salt Spray” test in hours so a choice can be made comparing apples to apples? Or do I have to find that info in the TDS sheets?
Thanks.

I am getting ready to paint my motorcycle fairings. The new fairings will need to be sanded. But my question is. Can I just use the primer epoxy, sealer n skip just using regular primer? Also in your video you was using the Concour Pro paint, clear gun. The newest one you all have is the EastWood cc500. Would you consider this a better gun than the Concour Pro? I know this is a lil old of a video, n I watch yr videos quit a bit. Hope all is well! Thanks God Bless!!

1.3 mm for the sealer? Did you reduce the 1:1 further?

When is the proper time to use a sealer? I've finished my metalwork and have already done some light fill to level things out. Should I do a polyester primer first, block it out and then lay the sealer followed by basecoat, or do I do the sealer first? I keep finding conflicting information.
