Eugene 4J students release salmon fry into the wild

"The more that we can connect students with the keystone species, such as Chinook salmon, it helps them understand the interconnectedness of all living things on the planet and hopefully is offering a kind of avenue into stewardship moving forward in their lives." EWEB is proud to sponsor the Salmon Education Program. This year, Tana led 55 classrooms to raise salmon from eggs to fry, then release them into the wild at Alton Baker Park. It's special to see their bond as they say goodbye and wish them well on their journeys. We all hope the young salmon and students thrive in their endeavors!
