Pavilion 15-ec1000, doesn't work. They locked Advanced so that "users don't break their PCs which HP then has to fix for free". Guess what? Backlit timing (30 sec by default) configures in Advanced. Nice move.

little did I know ram speed was set too low from factory. Raised it and is performing as expected.

For HP Pavilion 15-csxxxx (F23 bios) I used CTRL + F10:

F9 (to go to the Bootmanager)
CTRL + F10 when on the Boot manager (instead of CTRL + F1)
F10 to enter the bios

Works like a charm!
