Being a science geek myself, I wish there were more games with this theme, although with this, Evo, Evolution and Bios coming out, there are a lot of choices to scratch that itch.

@walt776 What about "Primordial Soup" and "Dominant Species"? I also play "Bone Wars" but that's a bit different.

@Kanvass1 Well, Tom did review "Dominant Species", and gave it quite a high rating, if I remember correctly. A theme he DID have a problem with was that of "Chaos in the Old World", which he disliked even though he praised the asymmetric game mechanics. This is just a small-scale card game, and Tom is in the middle of THREE top 100 lists, so I doubt that it even hit his radar.

A good way to fix that is to get bonus cards for how many animals less then your opponent has

Hmmm... if it leads to a runaway leader then just change the rule and have everyone just take two cards every time. House Rules rule.

There Is deffinitly comeback mechanismus in this game to make oponents anímals be without enough food with parasite, comunication, Thief.

How ironic that in the game you're "creating" your different species. LOL
