We haven't seen large volume capitulation after the ATH but we really didn't see large volume getting us to that ATH

The dollar value keeps going up. Other countries, like Japan, are letting their economies have inflation rather than increasing rates which is helping to push the value of the USD. The the USD goes up, crypto normally goes down.

One big difference (other than the market structure) is that before the drop to 3K in 2018 people were very optimistic, right now it feels like the whole world is waiting for the 20K-30K range, let's see if the mass is right this time :)

It is a mistake to assume a capitulation comparing with previous years, because it was also a mistake assuming a blow off top as previous years. The market is behaving on a different way, it is a mistake comparing with the past, we are on unknown territory with the institutions and whales playing games. The probability of capitulation may be quite low as there is NO RETAIL left. It may be difficult to see Bitcoin lower than 30K.

If we do see a capitulation soon. It might be the last/best buying opportunity we will ever see for bitcoin. If it goes down to $10, 000 - $20, 000. I will be selling everything I own to go literally all in.

Ask yourself: do you WANT it to capitulate? Whether you answer yes or no, understand that this is your bias, and be very skeptical of any arguments that support it.

Agree, financial analysts are waiting for capitulation in the stock market as well. Should happen soon between May-June based on macro events.

The things that are still giving me hope about this cycle:
-There is still a chance the extending cycle theory might play out giving us a major final leg up
-DXY currently peaking parabolic and BTC holding still decently strong (inverse cortelated to BTC runs)
-The 100W MA holding well as support since a few weeks now vs getting pierced through pretty fast in 2018
-Altcoins getting decimated right now while BTC moving almost horizontal (specular to what generally happens at the tops)

Every one of those capitulation events that was pointed out was preceded by a high volume top. The last top in November had no volume. Since last summer we have been in an accumulation phase. I do not think a capitulation event before the next run up is neither necessary nor likely. The market currently just consists of hodlers, technology investors who view btc as a high beta tech stock, and traders. There isn't a big enough pool of investors who fomo'd into the last run in the fall to cause a capitulation. A nice selloff could still be in play, but not a capitulation event. Cheers

People need to start waking up and smelling the roses, and I'm glad there are people like you on YouTube that are doing the work that needs to be done to explain that. This cycle is so much more complex and so much larger than anything that has preceded it. We had multiple commercials during the Super Bowl relating to crypto people. This isn't even close to the beginning. Buy and hold the assets you believe in at a fair price and just be patient. Tens of trillions are flowing into this asset class over the next decade. You can't convince me otherwise.

Very good analysis as usual. I only don't think people should count the March 2020 capitulation as an ordinary one, because it was caused by an extreme worldwide "cataclysm".
