Farmer Pete's Trucks 1973 - 2020 Part 1

Thinking back and remembering all the trucks I've owned over the years and talking a little bit about each one.

I graduated in 76. It's amazing how many of those 64 chevys were still around. My first vehicle was a 51 Chevy half ton 235 and 3 on the tree. Had a 64 corvan. 64 Chevy half ton long bed stepside 283 power glide. Also a fleet side 230 3 on the tree. Man they were good trucks. Pretty much nobody had 4wds until after the blizzard years.

We had a '71 chevy truck with a 455 Buick. Lots of motor swaps in the 80's just to survive ;)!!

Well...I accidentally deleted my comment about limping home with no brakes back in the 70's when I drove a 68 Mustang and a 67 Cougar. Thanks for replying about the 327 powered 62 Nova.

My first truck was a special ordered 1973 F250 4X4, (two Ford cars before that), new 1980 F250, new 1991 Ranger Super Cab 4X4, new 1996 F150, switched to a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500, used 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 and now an 09 Ram 1500 with 237, 000 miles and climbing.

Sounds like you've had a lot of trucks over the years. Some of them would be nice to have today to restore, maybe. Stat safe.

You've had alot of nice trucks, Im glad i bought a 3/4 ton before i started farming because i would have ran into the same issue you had. overworking a half ton pickup

I think everyone should have to drive home with little or no brakes, just so they know how to react! Like that big Ford looks like my 86

None of my business you graduated the same year as my dad in 1976 so that means you and my dad are the Same age or close to the same age kind neat but anyway I want to find a older round cab from the forties and fifty’s
