Weasleys were not the first kind people. Harry met kind people on the streets, Dedalus Diggle said hi to him. The saddest fact about the books to me, is after Sirius died, Harry noticed he still had the shard that Sirius gave him. If he remembered it before heading for the ministry, he could have safely communicated with Sirius. It just felt that the tragedy could have been prevented but it aligned perfectly with what Dumblefore said. Harry was propelled by his ability to love. He could have talked to Snape and he could have used the shard but instead he ran headfirst into danger. This is followed by an equally sad scene in which Harry confronts Nearly Headless Nick and Nick already knows what he is about to ask and tells him Sirius is not coming back as a ghost.

Another heartbreaking thing in the world of Harry Potter is that Sirius was the father Harry needed because he basically got to know his real father briefly before he was ripped away from them by Voldemort.

Mrs. Figg was hired by Dumbles to watch Harry from the moment he was placed on the doorstep to the moment he peft at 17. This means she and Dumbledore were two magicals that knew all about the level of abuse and neglect, yet did nothing about it. I find that more heartbreaking than Mrs. Figg being "nice" to Harry a few times in his childhood
