At 0:28 she said "oh, yes?" I believe, it just sounded very thick. "Ogey" (ok) wouldn't have really made sense as a reply. And also to reply to the description she said "I was in a trance" not "the trance". She just said the "a" kind of weird bc again, accent. Basically, "the trance" wouldn't make any sense bc she isn't referring to anything specific, and trances aren't limited in number ("the" always refers to something there is one of besides maybe some rare exception I can't think of. "A/an" are singular too but mean sort of like "one of many".

"A" and "the" are probably very confusing, but "the" places a lot of emphasis on something.

"Hand me the tissue box" = I am asking you to hand over a specific tissue box. One in your immediate vicinity or one I am pointing to or something. Just that one. "The" is always reserved for something that I am being specific about.

"Hand me a tissue box" = any tissue box is fine, just give me one. There probably isn't one nearby if I am saying this but not necessarily.

Just to give some examples. (Sorry maybe im overexplaining I have no idea how good your English is but considering you could sub thick (albeit fake) accents, it's probably at least fairly good)

Also "an" is for when the next word starts with a vowel and "a" is when the next word starts with a consonant (not a e i o u)
