Can I name all 35 countries in North & South America? After I released "Can I name all 197 countries in the world" I've decided to learn the countries 1 continent at a time! In the last video I learnt all 49 countries in Asia so today I'm going to try and learn all 35 countries in North & South America. Hey Jack, I recommend trying a sporcle quiz where you need to click the countries on the map, but ONLY the biggest one starting with a letter. (Example - the biggest country starting with A is Australia) in total, there are 24 countries. Would love to see you do it.

Grenada used to be a socialist country from 1979 and were friends with Cuba until the US invaded in 1983. They claimed an airport Grenada was building with the help of Cuba was gonna be used by Soviet jets but it was just an airport for tourists so long-range passenger jets could land there. Before, tourists had to connect on another island for a small plane to the short and geographically difficult runway at Pearls Airport. So the goal was to boost tourism. But a coup happened, Maurice Bishop was yeeted by his own military, and the US invaded. In 2009 the airport was named in his honor

Jack, here are some great tips I’ve used for naming as many countries as possible:
- Name all countries that are initials; UK, USA, UAE, CAR DRC(+Republic of the Congo)
- Name all countries similar in some way; (Israel/Palestine/Vatican City are all religious countries, Oman/Yemen sound similar, same with Paraguay/Uruguay, Iraq/Iran/Syria, and Kazakhstan/Kyrgyzstan/Turkmenistan/Uzbekistan/Azerbaijan/Tajikistan/Afghanistan/Pakistan, Niger/Nigeria, Zimbabwe/Zambia, Guinea/Papua New Guinea)
- Name all south/north countries; (N/S Korea, North Macedonia, Sudan/South Sudan)
- Follow a line on the world map, start at one country and try to name the countries connecting to it, it is best to start with Eurasia or Africa is what I’ve discovered.
