This spot was a few blocks from my house. I went there a lot between 1993 - 95.

Dang, 3 ledges and a wallride, that spot has anything I’d ever want! I’ve been enjoying checking out all my old spots and seeing them brought back to life by the kids that don’t have school right now. Your son is killing it!

That’s a magnificent curb right there. They don’t pour’em like that anymore. Now every curb is like a half inch tall.

You thinking 5050s would be angled like that and thinking it was lame that they weren't was like me expecting kickflips to spin up to a dozen times and thinking one flip was so weak.

That brought back some good memories! My dad thought I had started smoking because I kept leaving the house at random times to skate here. I would love to see an instructional video on how to help construction sites get rid of their excess 2x4s and plywood.

ive been watching these video since i started skateboarding.
It teaches me that you can still skate if you did a hardwork.
Thanks, Ben

That's a sweet spot with the multiple ledge heights and the angled wall. Awesome that your son is skating. 2 of my 3 dabble the tiniest bit. The other is full jock and has no interest.

My 1st spot was in the country. An old wood and metal bridge got torn down and replaced with a modern concrete bridge complete with curbs on both sides, fresh asphalt, and an angled wall on the sides for wall rides. Lottsa memories. It's where I mastered the noseslide and wall ride, learned to work on a college campus that I skated at as a kid. It's pretty awesome right now having free run of the campus. No students and minimal faculty means everything is wide open. I've been getting humbled by some not so huge gaps recently. I tend to play it safe in my elevated skate years so taking some chances has helped alleviate some of this isolation funk I'm in.

That’s a proper little spot I remember my first spot was an alley way to a SaveMart in concord California around 93ish? and it was very similar to this and we would meet up and hang out there all day and drink quarter sodas lol

You have the coolest son Ben. I have a 4 year old girl here in Regina, Saskatchewan and I'm getting her into skating. She is slowly getting it but it makes me happy to see other father child skate sessions

I would have committed a serious felony for a spot like that when I was younger. Maybe just a petty crime nowadays.

It makes me so happy knowing that you skate with your son. You're the definition of a rad dad!

Skated that spot with Ben in '93. Stoked to still see it in action!

I just finished building a drywall in our new house, and i asked myself what to do next, and there you are again! After helping me with my drywall you motivated me to start again with skateboarding ;-)
Great Videos 👍

Must feel good knowing your kids have the coolest dad in their friend circle. I’m thinking maybe I should break out my old board so I could be the same in a few years...
