Huawei Matebook D16 | 12th Gen Intel, 16-inch Beast

Reviewing the Huawei Matebook D16 laptop after a few days of play, including benchmark tests, gaming experiences and battery life. This budget-friendly 16-inch notebook could be a favourite for students in 2022. The Matebook D16 serves up Intel's 12th-Gen chipset, the Core i7 12700H, plus a FHD IPS screen and 512GB storage. UK pricing will be revealed at launch and hopefully it'll be competitive for students, office workers etc.

If your priorities are a large display for multi-tasking and entertainment, plus enough power to cope with any everyday apps and creative tasks such as photo editing, good news. The Huawei MateBook D16 2022 will do the job, with respectable usability and a surprisingly slim and light design. Don't expect to play demanding games like Doom on it, even on low detail settings. But less intensive titles work well and Chrome doesn't stumble even with many, many open tabs.

You realize that this great double row enter key is narrower than other keys. So to hit it right you have to press the upper part - and it's the size of standard key.

Hmm, how is it with thermals? Is the 1 fan enough to hold it on "ok" temperature or it burns and throttling even on small workload? I'm curious, it has 2 spots and 2 ports for fan, why they "cut" on fan :/ with 2 fan this would be extremely cool and low noise.
